Reliance Jio has officially revealed that it will start the rollout of its 5G services in India starting this Diwali. The company has revealed that select metro cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, will get the 5G connectivity by Diwali 2022. This means that the company might introduce the 5G services starting from October 24th.
PM Narendra Modi launched 5G services on October 1 in India at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022. Reliance Industries Ltd’s Chairman and managing director, Mukesh Ambani, was also present at the event. He said that Jio will bring affordable 5G services to all parts of the country by December 2023. The 5G services are now rolling out to 4 cities (Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai) via Invitation.

The company has revealed that the 5G speed will be one of the fastest in the country, and not even many fixed broadband networks can provide such speed. This simply means that the Jio 5G download speed is 8x faster, and the upload speed is 15X faster as compared to Jio’s 4G network.
