According to report from the Indian Express Priya’s viral song is a new version of P.M.A Jabbar’s famous song ‘Mappila Pattu’. It was included in an album in 1992. In the song mentioned Prophet Mohammed Sahib’s first wife Khadija Biwi. Like the new version its original song was quite popular. Many motifs of this song are already present on YouTube. Mappila Pattu is famous as a conventional Muslim song. It is sung in north Kerala’s Malayalam in which Arabic, Urdu, and Persian words are presented. It is especially sung during wedding occasions, school programs.

Written four decades ago

Behind the song popularity grew, Origen of the song was searched for the author. The most exciting thing is that a Malayalam portal has interviewed him. From there we come to know the author of the song Jabbar is now living in Saudi Arabia and work in a general Store for the last five years.  According to the report he wrote the song four decades ago at about 20 years of age. He has written more than 500 songs so far. This song was made part of an album which was released in 1992. He known as Ustad Jabbar in the cinema.
