Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced new name of Facebook as Metaverse, you can also call it Meta. There was discussion of changing the name of the company for a long time between top executives. On Thursday, Zuckerberg announced the new name of his company. Zuckerberg wants to rebrand his company, due to which its name was changed as Meta.

But Metaverse and Facebook, both these names do not seem to be similar from anywhere, so why did the company keep such a name? After all, what does this metaverse mean?

Zuckerberg said at the company’s connect conference on Thursday morning, where he unveiled a series of new products and ambitions around the metaverse. “It is time for us to adopt a new company brand to encompass everything that we do, to reflect who we are, and what we hope to build.” Then he announced a new name for the company: not Facebook, but Meta.

Zuckerberg says he’s chosen Meta, because of its meaning in Greek – “beyond”. It also alludes to the “Metaverse”, an online virtual oasis that he wants to build. It is an online world where people can play, work and communicate in a virtual environment often using VR headsets. “We’re now looking and reporting our business as two different segments, one for our family of apps and another is for our work on future platforms.”

The company also shows a new sign for headquarters in Menlo Park, California, on Thursday, replacing its thumbs-up “Like” logo with a blue infinity shape.

Companies tend to rename themselves for few selected reasons. Sometimes a name change reflects new business ambitions, as when Apple released the iPhone and stopped calling itself Apple computer.

In facebook, people can get together with friends and family, work, learn, play, shop, and create the Meta platform. Zuckerberg also revealed his plans of including crypto and NFT platform and also ensured that the privacy and security of users will be given utmost priority.

We all know, everyone is mad at Facebook for their features. But the company has been under attack for a trove of leaked internal documents. Everyone has something to say about Facebook, and almost none of it is good.

In the past decades, we would skeptical that facebook highlight mostly by buying competing apps or copying their features, rather than developing their own ideas internally. That’s why facebook is distracting people by rebranding company name as Meta, because the company’s public image is likely to get worse.

There is a rumor circulating that facebook is making change because of their privacy issues and the general negative sentiments towards the company. Facebook has worst marketplace because they don’t have any criteria for seller that’s why retailer are selling duplicate products to customer, facebook is not responsible for this. This is worst feature of facebook. Facebook users are facing many problems because of their privacy and safety problems.

Any upcoming youth generation require updates and facebook is running only one concept from long time which results boring to their users. Youngsters left and inactive in their facebook account from a long time.

Percentages of new registrations are dropping and things become more complicated when you forget your password. We hope that new name will bring with new interesting features.
